My Games

I love making games! Over the years I've made quite a few, and helped make quite a few more!

Personal projects

Here are my most recent personal project games. As you can see, I really like working within creative constraints!

Signed by ’89

Get a record deal by 1989… and save Johnny Gherkin from military school!

Mini music management in 64x64 pixel-o-vision.

This was the first game I ever made in the delightful PICO-8 and it was, er, quite challenging to fit into the constraints! I’m proud of it though, and it was nominated for several 2018 awards by the PICO-8 community.

Laser League

Mighty Bridget. Nimble Sophie. Tiny Zelda. Evildoers are no match for THE LASER LEAGUE!

Character-switching puzzling across 13 fiendish levels.

Made in PuzzleScript, an absolutely genius tool for making this kind of turn-based puzzle game. I enjoy games where you need to switch between varied characters, each with their own set of skills. This was my contribution to that rich tradition!

GATECRASHER

In the year 30XX, Kaito’s got too much confidence and a brand new pair of jetboots.

Precision arcade. With a banging soundtrack, if I do say so myself!

Mostly done across some weekend afternoons in 2023, GATECRASHER then sat there sadly for quite some weeks, waiting for me to polish it up and finish it. I’m glad I finally did! I really enjoyed finessing way little Kaito moves to be ‘just right’.

Truffle Wizard

Open your eyes. Dress your wounds. And smell the air. Is that… truffles?

Incremental clicker game with almost definitely no forbidden magic.

An experiment in minimalism! I made this in part to learn the F# programming language, which it turns out I like very much. Blog post coming soon!

Other games

Over time I intend to add some great games from my day jobs, plus older personal projects. Watch this space!
